Awaken Dane Partners

Awaken Dane was brought to life through the dreams and efforts of four partner agencies who received funding to launch Awaken Dane from Lilly Endowment, Inc. Below you can find descriptions of and links to the partner agencies.

The Wisconsin Council of Churches (WCC) is a network of Christian churches and faith-based organizations committed to working together across our many differences. Exercising holy imagination, we help one another make courageous choices that lead toward peacemaking, social and economic justice for Wisconsin’s most vulnerable residents, the vitality of the church, and the well-being of our neighbors.

Executive Director Rev. Kerri Parker is the WCC partner for Awaken Dane.

Collaboration Project exists to foster collaboration between churches for the good of the city and the flourishing of every person #soallmayflourish.

We believe that God has called the church to be united in Christ and that when we are it brings glory to God and love to our community.

Executive Director Jon Anderson is the Collaboration Project partner for Awaken Dane.

The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary is a vibrant Christian community that seeks to follow Jesus, walk in the Spirit, and join God’s mission. Shaped by faith in the One God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—we engage in teaching, learning, scholarship, and worship to form servant leaders for Christ’s church.

Rev. Dr. Christopher James is the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary partner for Awaken Dane.

At Upper House – a center for Christian gathering and learning – we welcome all who long to explore the life of the mind and the questions of the soul. We desire genuine transformation for ourselves, our campus community, and the world.

John R. Terrill, Ph.D., and Executive Director of Stephen & Laurel Brown Foundation is the Upper House partner for Awaken Dane
